Star Wars Book Chat:28: Planet Plague by John Whitman

 

There was a certain time in the 90's when I wasn't reading  Star Wars books, and during this time The Galaxy of Fear books were released. I have had a fun time tracking down these books and reading them. The series follows siblings Tash and Zak and their Uncle Hoole as they travel the galaxy.
The stories are set after the events of Episode IV and  have lots of cameos by characters in the films like Han Solo, Boba Fett and Luke Skywalker. This volume finds the family on the planet Gobindi getting emergency treatment for a sick Zak.
The planet is occupied by Imperial garrisons and strange experiments are going on in the labs. This book was a fun , quick read with some scare jumps added in various chapters. I  found the strange blob creatures fascinating and I'm looking forward to the next book.
